The house is approximately 400 years old and is a traditional stone house with terracotta flooring. The windows all have wooden shutters rather than curtains. There is no central heating in the house, instead heating can be provided by the pellet burner or wood burner located in the living room. Wood and pellets can be found in the basement should more be required.
As you enter the front door, you enter the living room area with a door to downstairs bedroom, kitchen and stairs to the upstairs room. The TV has an Amazon fire stick so you can log in to your streaming programs and watch your favourite programs, there are also free view channels available via the satellite.
Downstairs bedroom - was the old dining room but we have converted in into a second double bedroom to allow space for guests. We have decorated the room to create a calm and relaxing space for people to relax in.
Kitchen - is old fashioned but has the facilities that anyone would need. Fridge freezer, oven, hobs, coffee maker, microwave and kettle, washing machine. The sink is a large stone sink with draining area.
Once going upstairs you have a large landing with seating area to relax in and enjoy the sounds of the forest. It is important to note that the flooring does slant in places ever so slightly, this is common with old buildings.
Main double bedroom - is located opposite the stairs and is decorated similar to the double room downstairs.
Twin room - we turned the small room into a twin room to allow extra space for children or other adults if needed.
Bathroom - we have just had a new shower installed to allow guests to have more space. Hot water comes from an tank with immersion heater, so if used for a long time, hot water will run out but will be ready again within 20 minutes - half hour.
Outside - out the front of the house is a grass area, which is a public walkway for people in the village, however the village has about 20 people living in it and not many people walk past. Its a lovely space to sit out and enjoy the sunshine and the amazing views.
